In 1980 began his insurance career as a producer of individual life products with Standard Insurance Company. In 1983 John began working with small employer groups and shortly thereafter found an underserved and unique potential in the large group employee benefits segment. John since has established himself among his peers as an innovator in the design, implementation and underwriting of alternate funding for health and welfare benefit plans both locally, regionally and nationally.
John founded Davidson Benefits Planning in 1983 as a means to bring his expertise and passion to the Oregon market and over 25 years later continues to serve the interests of many clients with John's signature stamp of integrity, honesty and humility. As a past President of the Oregon Association of Health Underwriters in 1999-2000 and Agency of the Year in 1994 and again in 2001, John continues to represent the insurance industry and his clients with leadership, commitment and innovation. John is a Business graduate of Linfield College, actively serves as a board member on various philanthropies and Knights of Columbus.
